SCF supports global rights collection standardisation campaign

SCF, the leading Italian collective society of neighbouring rights, supports Credits Due, the international campaign created to improve and standardise the rights reporting process through the insertion, upon a recording of music work, of five data: the names of the people who contributed to the creation of the recording, the title, the role of the creators, the ISWC and the ISRC codes, representing the work and the recording respectively. The petition promotes the use of technology to monitor track use, facilitating collecting at the reporting stage and enabling improved allocation processes. Credits Due’s cause espouses and is anticipated by SCF’s technical effort, which in recent times has introduced tech-oriented measures of data collection. The investment has led, in just 3 years, to an increase from 200 annual reports to 1,300.
